Testing.  Following testing we are going to walk to a park in North Pole so the students can relax and blow off some steam/ stretch their legs.  No Social Studies.  (don't get too excited, tomorrow will make up for it)

Testing still.   We have a few minutes of real honest to goodness class time so we are going to learn about the Romans.  Hopefully we can finish talking about the Roman Government and get into the Punic Wars.

Yesterday we had a substitute as I was down in Anchorage.  The students worked on an extra credit packet.  There was no homework, and the bell-ringer was "Tell me about your weekend."


Tuesday
We have SBA testing today so the core classes are in the afternoon and very short.  We will be finishing the movie we started on Friday.

In order for the students to get a quick overview on Rome they will be watching a movie on the rise and fall of Rome.   Grade sheets will be sent home today for parent signature and return.  Successful completion of this task results in extra credit.

We are working on a skill today.  How to Compare maps with different scales.  The students will be drawing maps of North Pole and of North Pole Middle School to get an even better idea of the concept.
