We are going over a skill today in class.  Since history is in the past, the way we learn about it is through sources.  Today we are learning how to differenciate between Primary and Secondary sources.  Then I believe we will read a secondary source, the Odyssey.

We are going over a skill today:  How to read a population map.  As students of history and social studies, this skill is important in figuring out how topography relates to how people get distributed around the world.  Following that we will read the next section in the Odyssey, the Island of the Sun god.  The homework tonight is, Skill:  How to Read a Population Map.

Yesterday we did the research on our god or goddess.  Today we will put that information down on paper in the form of a Wanted Poster.  The students have examples to look at but their poster should show their unique personality, not mine.  Tomorrow we are going to finish up to posters and present them to the class.

Bell-ringer:  Tell me two interesting things you learned about your god or goddess.
