We are getting into the government of Rome today.  It is a lot of information but the students will only be responsible for a small portion.  Map quiz is this Friday.

Bell-ringer:  What is the food supply of Rome?

Homework:  Study for map quiz.

We will be talking about the food supply and geography of Rome today. 

Bell-ringer:  What country is inside of Rome?

Homework:  Study map and "Where was Ancient Rome?"

We are starting Rome today.  The students are going to be completing a map of Rome.  Also I will be passing out the next map for the map quiz on Friday.  

Bell-ringer:  Which modern day country is Rome in?

Homework:  Study map.

Word search today.  Since Mr. Robb had surgery on his foot this week I was able to talk about the Mayans, Aztecs and Incas yesterday.

Bell-ringer:  What did you learn about the Aztecs?

We have a day and a half to introduce the students to the three civilizations of America: Aztecs, Incas and Mayans.  I am starting off with two short videos that talk briefly about each of them.  At the end of the hour we will discuss how they were alike and different.

Test day.

Homework:  Study for tomorrow.

We will be discussing what to look at for the test tomorrow.  We will also finish Hercules.

We are reading a book on myths today.  The students started reading this in English and we are finishing it up today.

Bell-ringer:  List two things you learned yesterday from the book.

Homework:  Look at notes 2 times and study for map quiz.
