First day of our civilization project. If you take a peek at the "create a civilization" tab you can see what the students last year were doing. Today we come up with names and go over what we are doing.

Mr. Robb has decided that today will be the day. He is taking the students and doing an activity with them in the auditorium. The students will be watching the movie "Brave Little Toaster" and participating in many discussions about it.
Test today. Students are taking their final test of the year for Social Studies.
No bell-ringer or homework. Basketball review. The students are getting geared up for their test tomorrow.
Bell-ringer: What was the most interesting thing you learned about Rome? HW-Study! Students are going to be working on their study guides and organizing their notebooks in prepration for Thursday.
Bell-ringer: List two reasons for the downfall of the Roman Empire. Homework: Study for test on Thursday. Sorry for not posting last week we had SBA's and therefore a crazy week. This is the last week of "regular" instruction. We start our large civlilzation project next Monday. We have a test this Thursday.
Today the students are learning about the fall of the Roman Empire. Bell-ringer: What was the guy with crazy hair telling us about in the movie? Homework: Finish study guide and organize binder. We ended up not finishing notes on Friday. So we will be talking about the social structure and written language of Rome and THEN we will be done with notes on Rome and actually for the rest of the year.
